Leading productive and inclusive meetings is always a challenge. Type in "meetings are..." in Google search and one of the first results that you’ll see is..."a waste of time." It's true that the value of a meeting can often rest in the hands of people, but at Google, we believe the technology is equally important to a meeting's success.About a decade ago, we set out to learn what makes a meeting effective at Google and took what we learned to create solutions that help Googlers collaborate more efficiently. Our research showed that if people really want to get work done, they need flexible tools. As a result, we shifted our company’s meeting culture away from conference calls and adopted a video-first approach to collaboration (read more about that in this post). This journey also informed the foundation of our meeting solutions in G Suite, which we’ve built out to include video conferencing that can host up to 100 people at one time (and 100,000 on livestream), dynamic, cost-effective hardware that’s smart enough to troubleshoot its problems, and intelligent, interactive whiteboards to foster creativity in your meetings. Today, we are announcing new partnerships to bring your business more options for meeting technology and to make meetings even better.Hangouts Meet, meet LogitechWe are partnering with Logitech to develop a portfolio of pre-configured room solutions for Hangouts Meet using Logitech hardware. With Logitech Room Solutions for Meet, organizations can choose from three bundle options that are qualified for Hangouts Meet hardware and include a pre-configured computer, conferencecam, and touch screen controller (among other features):Huddle room bundle (ideal for 2-6 people) with a Logitech Meetup conferencecam with built-in microphones and speakers, a Chromebox and Logitech Tap touch controller.Medium room bundle (best for 6+ or more people) with a Logitech Rally camera, speaker and mic pod, a Chromebox, and Logitech Tap touch controller.Large room bundle (ideal for 12+ or more people) with a Logitech Rally system, including a Rally Camera, two speakers, two mic pods and a Chromebox with Logitech Tap touch controller. With Logitech Room Solutions for Meet, organizations can power high-quality video meetings at a

Pros And Cons Of Google Chromebox And Chromebook

Back in June, we saw the news that Google partnered with Parallels to bring Microsoft Windows to Chromebooks. On Tuesday, HP announced its first three devices that gain Windows support vial Parallels Desktop and Chrome Enterprise: The HP Pro c640 Chromebook Enterprise, HP Elite c1030 Chromebook Enterprise, and HP Chromebox Enterprise G3. The company says Parallels Desktop for HP Chrome Enterprise licenses will cost $69.95 per year.As noted in the initial news back in June, this will allow businesses to run legacy apps, either on- or offline, using Windows 10 in a Parallels Desktop virtual machine on Chrome OS. And because this is tied to Chrome Enterprise, device administrators can manage the Parallels and Windows licenses direction through the Google Admin web console. Additionally, HP is rolling its Chrome Device Enrollment Service, a zero-touch solution for automatic Chromebook and Chromebox enrollment on a company’s domain upon user login. Between the two management tools, IT should spend much less time on device deployments and management during rollouts. The HP Elite c1030 Enterprise Chromebook gains support for HP’s new enrollment service today, with additional product gaining support in the future. From a security standpoint, since all Windows apps are running inside a Parallels Desktop virtual machine Chrome OS should be sandboxed from any potential threats on the Windows side. Likewise, Windows is protected from any Chrome OS browsing or web apps.A few months back, I noted that while Windows support on Chromebooks would be nice for consumers, it really has to start in the enterprise first. There’s a greater need in that environment for starters, and I knew that Windows support was tied to Chrome Enterprise licensing. Indeed, that’s exactly the case. In order for a business user to run Windows on their Chromebook, HP is limiting this offering to its enterprise devices. Consumers will not be able to download and use Parallels from that company’s website, nor from the Google Play Store for Windows support. The Chrome Enterprise Upgrade license is also required as well as a Windows 10 license for each device. So even if you purchased one of the supported HP enterprise devices as a consumer, unless you have all of the required licenses, you won’t be running Windows 10 on your machine. Some consumer Chromebooks can run Windows in a virtual machine, but it depends on if KVM and nested virtual machines are enabled. After spending 15 years in

You are here:Home » Google Chrome » It’s Now Possible To Install Windows On ChromebooksA recent study by the NDP Group reveals that a whopping 1.76 million Chromebook units have been sold in just ten months. The study also reports that Chromebook accounts for the 26 percent of all notebook sales in 2014.As most of you know, Google has been updating its Chrome operating system with new features ever since its first release but it’s not even remotely close to Windows, Mac or even some Linux distributions. A lot of computer users who have used Windows or Mac before making the jump to Chrome OS or Chromebooks agree that it can’t be used as a replacement to PC or Mac, at least for now.Because of this, majority of Chromebook or Chromebox users want to install Windows or Linux on their Chromebooks. Since most of the Chromebooks out there ship with powerful processors, they meet the minimum hardware requirements for installing Windows 10, Windows 8, and Windows 7. For instance, Google’s own Chromebook Pixel features an i5 processor, 4GB of RAM, 32 or 64 GB SSD.A quick search on the web reveals that there are plenty of guides available to load Linux on Chromebooks but there are very few guides that can help you install Windows operating system on Chromebook or Chromebox. The good news is that there are a couple of good and working guides out there to install Windows 10, Windows 8, and Windows 7 on popular Chromebooks such Google’s own Chromebook Pixel and Acer A7.Installing Windows on a Chromebook isn’t a straight-forward job, but there are guides and video tutorials to help you install Windows on Chromebook.Install Windows 10 on Chromebook with easeIt turns out that installing Windows on Chromebook Pixel is relatively easier when compared to other
